Nestled in the heart of Gulpen, Herberg De Zwarte Ruiter is conveniently placed right on the Krijtlandpad, making it a perfect base for a day of exploration. I indulged in their lovely big breakfast, which set me up beautifully for a hearty day of walking-there's no better way to fuel those adventures! The hotel features two charming roof terraces perfect for soaking up the sun after a day on foot, all while enjoying a serene escape from the bustling Markt. The bar was a comfortable spot to unwind, where my friends and I shared a few laughs over local brews, with the cozy atmosphere making it easy to relax. Our double room had a delightful private entrance, complete with a flat-screen TV and the little luxuries of free toiletries-a thoughtful touch that certainly added to our comfort. With its blend of modern amenities and friendly hospitality, this inn is a charming option that speaks to Japan's ethos of welcoming warmth, which I hold dear. Highly recommended for those looking for an authentic getaway!
